Joseph G. Gillespie, MBA
Mr. Gillespie is the founder and CEO of Inner Circle. He has extensive experience in all phases of hospitality-related real estate investment with substantial transactional experience, and numerous industry contacts. He is an expert in all phases of the acquisition process including deal structuring, contract negotiation, due diligence, and underwriting, as well as raising and closing on the debt/equity capital structure.
Mr. Gillespie has been responsible for the acquisition of 135 hotels with 93 as a major Principal, earning over 50% annual returns during a 17 year span. He has been responsible for the financing of over $3.5 billion in real estate having personally borrowed $1.7 billion. Mr. Gillespie has served in various capacities at a succession of institutional commercial real estate concerns including Trammel Crow, Consolidated Capital, and Johnstown America.
J. Kenneth Rhodes, CPEP
Mr. Rhodes is a Certified Private Equity Professional with over 30 years experience in securities, finance and real estate. Mr. Rhodes has extensive experience in structuring investments with a transaction volume over $11 billion through a variety of organizational structures including IPO’s, Private Placements, Reverse Mergers, Convertible Debentures and various forms of debt. He is a former State Securities Administrator serving as Chief of Securities for the State of Tennessee. Mr. Rhodes participated in drafting Regulation D as a member of the North American Securities Administrators Association and lectured analysts on tax advantaged real estate. Mr. Rhodes previously qualified as an NASD Registered Securities Principal and has numerous appearances as an expert witness in state and federal court regarding securities, real estate, and fraud. He has served as CFO for a regional real estate developer and Director of Development for a large hospitality company.
Julie A. Brian
Ms. Brian brings over 15 years of Real Estate Acquisitions, Commercial Insurance and Corporate Asset Management to the Inner Circle team. She has been an integral part of the team charged with managing 95 corporations and 24 operating hotel assets. In the course of her real estate asset management experience, she has been responsible for oversight of all pre-acquisition and due diligence processes, including review of corporate documents, leases, licenses, state and county regulations, and commercial insurance negotiations.
From acquisition through disposition, Ms. Brian manages and oversees each asset from the perspective of integrating the property into the ownership portfolio. She develops, implements, and refines asset management processes and procedures. Her expertise has resulted in optimization of asset control and inventory management processes to track accountability, identification, location, maintenance, contracts, and life cycle status.
Jade Dremstedt, MBA
Mr. Dremstedt has over 20 years of domestic and international consulting experience providing services to Fortune 500 companies in a diverse range of industries, including construction, engineering, utilities, technology, and hospitality. He joined Inner Circle in 2015 as Managing Director of Strategy and Business Development. Among his responsibilities is sourcing and maintaining relationships with lenders, developers and general contractors.
Mr. Dremstedt focuses on business processes and controls to streamline and economize fund raising. By applying scorecard and metrics reporting he is able to direct capital in the most efficient manner while managing enterprise risk. Working closely with general contractors, local government, and community redevelopment agencies, he oversees construction cost reviews, resource planning, and system implementation.
